Kerry V Dublin

Really looking forward to this one.

The two Heavyweights of Gaelic Football.

Sold Out Austin Stack Park, Tralee.

Has the makings of a great game, even if its ''only the league''. I was at the same fixture in Tralee two years ago and I can tell you it was played at as close to championship pace as you can get. Some massive hits in that game and neither team gave each other an inch. Game ended in a draw. Brilliant atmosphere!!

Really looking forward to making a weekend out of it. Staying in Killarney for the Fri & Sat nights. Always a great buzz around the town when we head down there.

On the game itself
I reckon Kerry will be gunning to beat us and lay down a marker!! Although Dublin looked great in that second half against Galway I still think we're a few weeks off were we'd like to be, in terms of players coming back into the squad, fitness levels, sharpness, etc.

Kerry by 2.

Everything points to a very close game. Could go either way, Kerry lift their game against Dublin and it'll be a tough encounter. Kerry will want this win badly to instill some belief before into the latter end of the league.

Ah here behave...........anything less than a 10 defeat is a morale victory for a sluggish Dublin team still with the sun tans from the holidays against a young vibrant Kerry team who have been training all winter.

And we don't yarre yerra yaeare..............sure we can't even spell it :)

It's very hard to call games this time of year I'd be hoping for a good competitive game but a handy Dublin win would hardly be a surprise.
Kerry are still figuring things out with a new manager while Dublin are a seasoned team I'd expect that will show in the second half in particular.

Safe journey to all travelling I'm actually going to miss this one because the junior and intermediate finals are on the same day and I've a friend playing so I'll be going in the opposite direction.

Be a tight blood and thunder game i think similar to our last visit to Tralee. Either team could shade it but wont be by much and a draw is probably were the smart money may be. Not sure the result will be telling one way or the other.

Any Dublin could turn up really, with a very cobwebby Dublin playing 75% of game time so far, but we have quality so you never know. Wouldn't mind seeing youth get it fling, as i expect lads on both sides to be leaving the game missing lumps so i would be tempted to give the majority of the young panel players the experience.

Looking forward to seeing Sean O Shea in the flesh, i made a bold statement last year that i thought he was a more influential and talented player to Kerry then young Clifford and to be honest hes backed my faith in him, looks absolute quality.

Looks like a lot of focus in initial games has been on Kerry's defensive system and you can understand that given the last couple of years, i think they may be trying to develop a counter attacking system over all, so be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Whats Tralee like for parking for games lads? any tips? Im driving down to this one and probably rock up about mid afternoon and might go onto Killarney or further after the game and do a couple of days down in the South West got the train the last time.

Kerry in all the club finals again this year , their minors have done five in a row their hot favourites to win minor and '21 this year and would of walk '21 last year if they'd Clifford and O Se, yet our domination is suppose to be ruining the Gaa, someone explain where our domination is? At one level is domination of the whole game of football?

Kerry are not dominating at only one level and trust me it's coming soon.

Now now, don't you boys have some cheques to cash? I assume at this stage ever season ticket holder in Dublin gets free transport to away games and €100 spending money :D

Why have we a Leinster ref for this game?

Surely the ref should be from Connacht or Ulster.

Hi KB - I agree with you wrt referee selection. I think it should be a ref from a neutral province & would also be good to have one au fait with the experimental rules.
