Not at all. I think it's great value for money. When you look at rugby, soccer etc it's very cheap. A great day out. Now I have season tickets so it doesn't really affect me. But it's a measly fiver. You pay that for parking in most shopping centers in country. For our product I don't see 20 as over exorbitant

I think this is the point everyone is missing really. They have raised the price of a per game ticket to make buying a season ticket more attractive and hopefully push a few that direction. Season ticket itself is 120.

Charging an OAP or student €15 to go to a game is an absolute disgrace lads. No matter what way they try to dress it up. An OAP like. That's who the GAA is trying to make profit from. After driving to a game, paying to park in a lot of places as they can't walk far to the pitch, then the scandalous price of programmes on top. It's not right lads. I expect so. The money is there regardless, of if someone gets up with the flu and can't go. I'll get one game free in the league and first championship game. So I see it as good value.

I think thats it really, the pricing of the season ticket meant it was cheaper to just purchase tickets on a per game basis and miss the odd one if you something came up and your county didn't have a great chance of getting to an All Ireland final. It's excellent value RD. I always find these threads funny. They present the GAA as some kind of distant entity. The whole thing is communal, it's where your counties money from etc. No body wants to pay more, but everyone wants their team to have more money. The GAA make a massive loss at every single game. Apparently for a GAA game to break even after costsyou need a crowd of 50k. I actually think the GAA pricing structure is very naieve. I agree with you there L_G. Was planning to come up home for the Wexford match. Was looking forward to it as well. I feel the league is a superior competition to the half-baked, lop-sided championship as it is at present. But coming up home from Munster there is the petrol to factor in to that as well (700 kms round trip). €20 is a lot for a league match, and particularly Div 4. They're not exactly encouraging us to make the effort. I presume that tickets for championship matches are similarly going up as well so? I expect OAPs and students will still have a reduction (probably to €15).

Season tickets are not for everyone. Plenty with family or work commitments can only get to some home league games and are out of Championship after 2 games so a season ticket isn't great value for them. Probably suits Division One counties better as they go deeper into the summer. I think GAA top brass anticipated a feelgood factor with the rule changes. But the price increases on top of the bad publicity about the handpass rule brings them some negative press. Just need to put heads down until the league starts. A few cracking games and this increase will be largely forgotten. Maybe they could have a virtual ticket for our phones to scan barcode on entrance to grounds too?

Just to clarify, it's 15 for all division 3 and 4 games. And if you purchase ticket prior to day of game it's cheaper still.

The price of admission to Division 3 and 4 games is still €10.
