What I will say for Galway is the relative consistency we've shown so far (one half against Kerry and an entire game against Dublin notwithstanding!). The game against Tyrone will certainly be a measure of Galway's mettle, and if they can overcome that, I wouldn't rule anything out. Every year some people read form-lines after the first 2 or 3 games. This is a time when many teams are in heavy training, missing lots of players and playing on very soft pitches. Tyrone got walloped by Mayo at home, who got hammered by Dublin, and then Tyrone beat Dublin pretty comfortably in Croker. Dublin will be the team to beat come championship time. Galway starting to get a little more expansive. Last couple of games were encouraging for future. Although both Rossies and Mayo were poor. Tyrone will be a big test but one that I think Galway are well equipped for. Irrespective of result a game like that is great championship preparation. Getting to final would give us an extra high quality game. Probably have Corofin players next week but hard to see more than Silke and Burke having a chance of starting. Yes I got to agree with you, they haven't a clue and did say Tyrone were basically out of it despite the win which is a strange comment when all Tyrone have to do is win one game and Mayo to loose against Monaghan who are fighting for survival. It was Tyrones first win against the mighty Dubs in six years and also beat them in Croke park. But what did O'Rourke and Spillane have to say about that......Dublin are treating the league as a training exercise the win is of no significance. Please RTE move these two guys on...their personal dislike of Northern teams and Tyrone in general is exhausting for someone looking for unbiased commentary. Looks likely to cost us division 1 status unfortunately if we were on 4 and Monaghan lost to mayo we would stay up on head to head. That said ultan was huge in putting us in a position to beat them in 1st place. We've several lads back in training that'll make us better in championship murtagh, mc Manus, mc inerney ,stack but the two very horrible displays v Cavan and Galway show we are still very flaky and buckle when things like the goals conceded before half time against both go against us. Both very outside. If Cavan beat the Dubs by a decent margin, Monaghan lose and Ros draw Cavan could stay up on points difference. Similarly if Mayo and Galway win (latter by a big margin) and Kerry lose then the Kingdom could lose out. All unlikely scenarios. I knew we would regret letting the Dublins tack on a load of late scores to beat us when the game was gone. Of course if Kerry at least draw well our head to head is an advantage against our neighbours.
