Donegal and Kildare will be most people's favourite to gain promotion back to Division 1, off the rest I certainly hope Meath can mount a challenge, Armagh could surprise a few and no more than ourselves I genuinely hope we start to see a few sparks of improvement in Cork, Fermanagh will be tough to get points from too. I have a feeling Tipp and Clare could struggle, I don't want them to as they have made great progress in recent years and Munster football needs them but I just feel they could struggle this year. Kildare will most likely be missing several starters from this season so the league looks like a bedding in job for some of the u/20s. Don't think the outcome of the division is going to be any way predictable. I'm expecting a real dogfight. McEntee's future probably depends on promotion and I think Meaths total focus will be promotion, rather than Even super 8's. Armagh are a bit of a bogey team for us so won't be counting chickens on that one. Despite talks of Corks demise I think they have at least 30 good footballers down there and writing them off is dangerous. Think it will be more competitive than some think. There are a number of good footballing teams there but they might not be at their best if we get a bad Spring and the pitches take a beating. The more physical teams may have an advantage. I may be mad saying this but as good as Kildare can be I just can't seem them getting promoted. In terms of promotion Donegal will use this opportunity to test younger players but should still finish first. With regards to Fermanagh I can see them finishing around the middle of the pack, with Rory Gallagher second year in charge they will be a tough to beat but can't see them challenging for promotion allfermanagh (Fermanagh) - Posts: 77 - 23/11/2018 09:20:33 2152192 Link 0 |

I'd actually disagree. I'd have Kildare down as one of the promotion favourites. They look to be building nicely and I thought they were very impressive looking at times last year. If they can build on this they could be a team to watch next year.

Much will depend on the number of home games a team has. Its alot worse than that.....there is alot of backlash and disapproval over the rules so now they are going to reconsider them on the 19th of january, so coaches will now have to coach these new rules just in case they come in but 1 week before the league starts there may be amendments or hopefully some of them not being used at all. The league is far too important a competition for all this stuff to be going on

Armagh v Kildare is a very big game in round 1. I think that Kildare and Donegal will be favourites to up with Armagh the best to take advantage. None of the other teams inspire me. Tipperary probably have the most talented footballers of the rest and have Paudie Kissane training them now. Not sure they are ready for Division 1 though. Morale very very low in Cork. Really hard to know where we are going or who will be in the squad even.
