Looking for ideas for a Gaa fundraiser. Specifically something that involves a match eg over 40s or fancy dress etc. any novel ideas that have worked? GerryD (Monaghan) - Posts: 335 - 22/09/2018 20:31:14 2143293 Link 0 |
Watchaed a game once between the fire brigade and the coast guards, what was mad was both were in full rig out. Firemen in full gear including wellies and helmets against men wearing wet gear and flippers. Ever see a man take a free kick wearing flippers or a man jumping for a ball in a pair of steel toe capped wellies. Madness but some Craic. Key is don't charge a set price at the gate. Just leave a bucket you'll colllect more that way Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5491 - 22/09/2018 23:24:59 2143310 Link 1 |

Is there reason why you have to involve a match? It limits what you can do as hard to be innovative with a game. DonaldDuck (Tipperary) - Posts: 544 - 23/09/2018 19:05:49 2143393 Link 0 |
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, truth is if the club is a functional well run club they can run anything and it will be a success, if you have the best fund raising idea in the world but your community/club aren't invested then your at a loss Damothedub (Dublin) - Posts: 5193 - 23/09/2018 20:36:19 2143405 Link 3 |
I think you are 100% right and exactly the essence of what we are trying to achieve. Club is well run but too many standing on the sid elines, literally!
