Ladies' Football Finals

(Oldest Posts First)

Building on last year's record attendance, it looks like there will be another huge crowd on Sunday. Lower Hogan, Davin and Cusack already sold out. What odds a Leinster treble with wins for Louth, Meath and Dublin?

Always a great day out. Have been there with my girls the last number of years with the Dubs in it, as well as with Cork for their Ma!

Looking forward to tmrw and hope the crowd is good again. The atmosphere was excellent last year for the Senior final.

I was at the Ladies Finals a few years ago, and it was a fabulous occasion; 6 sets of supporters creating an amazing atmosphere. Men's football should consider emulating this

Brought my 2 girls to last year's finals as their mum is a tipp girl ,was a brilliant occasion and that's when they fell in love with Gaelic football and they are going again tmw even tho they have no allegiance to any team playing but it's just great for them to see the kind of support and exposure and rightfully so that ladies gaa is getting now and amazing female sports role models that they can look up to. They will be shouting for Dublin tmw coz Noelle healy is their favourite player .looking forward to it it's gonna be a great day and a great atmosphere

Best first half of football I've seen in years. That's what you call a game of Gaelic football. Not a backward step taken. No slow ponderous hand passing. Brilliant skill. Attack, attack, attack. Great defenseman too.

Men. Take note.

Congratulations to the Dublin Ladies and Mick Bohan. What a great game. In some ways the brand of football on view today is more entertaining than the prevailing , defense oriented style Of the nens' Game.

Brillant game of football, skilful, entertaining, well organised & promoted, really putting the men's game & its administrators in the ha'penny place. The GAA at adult men's level is a shocking mess & run by people who are incapable of doing so. The GAA should actively engage with the LGFA as soon as possible & get some of their administrators into roles that are being run into the ground. Games administration level should start learning lessons from the LGFA. Well done Cork & Dublin for keeping Gaelic football alive.

The way the girls just go for the game is a joy to watch. Compared with the fear which grips many male inter county teams. It's a difference in attitude.

Well done Dublin, the better team, pushed all the way by gallant Cork.

I first attended ladies games when Laois were in all Irelands in the 80s. Amazing how the skills have developed to what they are now. The goal scoring was so composed.

Super stuff from the Dubs in finally slaying the Cork Rebelettes!

Delighted for that group that suffered at Cork's hands in 3 finals in a row.

Ahearne, Owens and McEvoy led the line brilliantly. Finnegan but last year's disappointment behind her and was magnificent at the back. Magee and Carey gave the Cork midfield bags of it and never let up.

But star of the show was Carla Rowe from the Naul. Sidestep and back of the net twice! Both goals coming at important times with Cork on top.

Well done all and enjoy the celebrations! Up the Dubs!

Bad luck Cork, but we owed them that result.

Super performence, very very proud, this team has really matured in the last three seasons and has used some tough losses as currency.

Couldn't be prouder of the woman have been great all year, the culmination of lots of work and effort put in all year.
