I think this Dublin team are only the second ever to win 6 in one decade. The last being Dublin too and more than 100 years ago.

Dublin are the best team in the country last 6 years but very are to call the greatest team ever as your talking about different times,no one will ever know, but this Dublin team are brilliant, average is only 25,can see them doing six in a row and Kerry stopping them for the seventh.

Dublin are an exceptional team and one of the greatest, the beat Tyrone well on Sunday, however the present Tyrone team would not live with the Tyrone teams who won AI's . It is a futile exercise debating who was the best ever as many have said different times and different football.

On your assessment, not sure on the reality of Munster being tough because of Cork. Couldn't have been that tough if Kerry won every Munster title 75-86 bar one to Cork. I also think they had too many tough SFs. Certainly no tougher games than Dublin had against the likes of Mayo, Donegal and Kerry themselves.

Well done on the hurling btw. Superb performance."
Cheers poguemahone

Cork 83, TadhgMurphy & the win over Kerry. They went to a replay with the Dubs & only a Barney Rock goal saved Dublin. They were a good side, Kerry were better.

All open to opinion of course, just good to have a forum to discuss.

I know you were referring to the idea of Dublin winning 24 in a row as pure nonsesne but the utter dominance is unbelievable to be honest when you look at the stats.

I believe Dublin are 11/1 at the moment to win 10 in a row which is mad when you think about it.

They now have 6 of the last 8 all irelands with a team that has an average age 6 months less than the team that won in 2011.

They have won 13 out of the last 14 Leinster Championships, can anyone honestly see any team in leinster winning other than Dublin within the next 6 years which means 19 out of 20 for Dublin, now back in 2005 if that was suggested people would have said the same "utter nonsense" yet here we are with that very real possibility.

Its a domination.

People keep citing underage where they arent winning everything but the fact of the matter is they dont need to, they just need to bring 1 or 2 through each year yet still they are averaging a minor Leinster championship with every 2 or 3 years and an u21/20 All Ireland football Championship at the same rate every 2 to 3 years. U20/21 bears more fruit for teams, despite Kerry winning 5 x minors they still havent won u21/20 for over 10 years, a focus on u21/20 is a smarter approach than one on minor.

Its a domination for a long long time imho.

dominance combination of the Dubs having unbelieveable depth and the opposition being very poor at the moment.

Mayo have made 4 finals with a number of weaknesses in their team (lacking full back, center forward, corner forward and goalkeeper when Clarke out).

If Kerry and Tyronne of 00s were playing in this era would the Dubs have won 4 in a row?

If this current Dubs team were playing in the noughties would Kerry and Tyrone have dominated? Works both ways.

Firstly before I add a few more measages before I add develop a few points. I want to say.

Congratulations to Dublin. These are great days to be a Dub.
In terms of greatness we can say for certain
This is the greatest Dublin team team ever , fact.
This is the best team in the country by a mile, fact.
This is one of the greatest teams ever , fact.

For me I always felt winning back to back titles in football was one of the hardest things to do in Irish modern sport. And it was. And still is. I never thought I would see a team winning 3 in a row in my lifetime in football after kerry achieved it in the mid 80s. And I believed 4 in a row in football was beyond impossible. But thats what this incredible team have done.

Its pretty simple if you look at the stats and other great teams from the past, 6 All Irelands including a 4 in a row means this Dublin team is undisputed the second greatest team ever. If they win the holy grail of Irish sport, the 5 in a row, something kerry kilkenny or even Garth Brooks couldnt do. Win 5 in a row they be will the undisputed greatest team ever. Its as simple as that. Well done to the Dubs. Great team great players, incredible achievement.
