Galway won by 9 points. The closest Wexford got to Galway in the 2nd half was 4 points behind.

Yet you compare this to a much more closely contested AI Final, which Galway have won once in the last 30 years?

Cockney lad what is your point? UK have won no Liam's recently, sounds like you have sour cranberries, time to get off Galway fans case. Be happy for Limerick.

Replying To waynoI:  "Eating the traffic I would guess .. I've never left a game early. if you're losing you take it for 70 minutes. the players can't just walk off the pitch 15 mins early. You win as one and you lose as one. It's very easy to support winners but you sort out the true genuine fans from the half arsed fans in situations like that. The two games that will always stick out as a Dublin football fan are Tyrone 08 and Kerry 09 and I can only speak for myself and the gang I stand with, leaving early isn't an option.

This might sound mad, and I can't explain it in words, but there is (for me anyway) a certain feeling around staying after a big or demoralising defeat. a somber mood no doubt about that but a definite defiance. It's like ... I'm not going anywhere, you fellas put the graft in and now we're gonna graft and stay with you during the bad times. Bad time have always made you fully appreciate and enjoy the good ones that bit more too"
Leaving early never seems to be a problem with the Dubs but getting them in on time is the problem. They don't appear to have adjusted to the abolition of the "holy hour", well some of them anyway.

Yes I do. It was a riposte to what was a sniggering sly after the event dig by someone who's obviously forgotten how his own county-men have done the very same thing many times themselves.

Replying To StoreysTash:  "After Shane Dowling's goal, it looked like hundreds and hundreds of Galway people headed for Clonliffe Road.
What they almost missed, could have been the most incredible injury time in an All-Ireland final ever.
What is it that motivates the early leavers? Anybody who turns their back on their county men like that deserves to miss something truly incredible.
I know every county has their people who leave early, but after battling for tickets which were like gold dust, why leave? It'll hardly save that much time on the M4!!
Imagine if one of the Galway forwards had got a hurl to Cannings free and it ended up in the net - I know Limerick don't want to consider the thought!! But I did laugh that some Galway supporters could have missed something really unbelievable."
I'm glad you called them Galway people because they certainly aren't Galway supporters. Any who do that, have no interest in hurling and shouldn't have a ticket to a game. However id imagine many were also neutrals.
I remember the same thing with the Cork Limerick semi, lots of cork people left when they went down 6/7 points but there was still 5 mins of time to go. Very strange.

I stayed until the bitter end and beyond, but look its a personal thing and every county has them.

In 2015 I stayed and watched Kilkenny do their lap of honour when in fact, a hell of a lot of Kilkenny fans left at the final whistle and didn't stay to watch the presentation./speeches.

League game with Cavan last year was. Think that's the last one but not certain.

I have always found that Galway have a disproportionate amount of fair weather bandwagon supporters who are quick to criticize at the drop of a hat!! The sacrifices these players make to give us such enjoyment deserve a lot better. Since 2012 I have noticed the hurlers support has improved somewhat but that is partly due to the success of the team. In both hurling and football I always wait til the final whistle and at finals wait til the presentation is over. Even at bad defeats and im thinking Mayo in Pearse stadium, Kilkenny in thurles multiple times spring to mind where supporters flocked to the exits with a good 15/20 mins to go. Sometimes we just have to accept the beat team wins and appreciate their talent on show

I waited on for all the recent defeats...last year was the worst and I never saw so many Mayo fans still in their seats long after the whistle and I to the speech...I think everyone was just exchaused after what they had just witnessed...

TBH hadn't been to a Galway Monaghan game before (was on holiday for league clash), so it was great to go to salthill for the super 8's. Expected so much from the home team & from the home supporters. Disappointed on both accounts.
The most disappointing bit was the home support. Realising the duality of the county but expected a few more there & those who were there to make themselves heard. Not sure that many of the Galway supporters really understood the game & it was really obvious that the passion of traditional footballing counties was not there. Lots of recent converts but no history.

My father always made us leave early to beat the traffic, it was annoying as I would have liked to have seen Armagh lift the Ulster cup in 2000, I've never seen an Ulster trophy presentation to this day
