Alan Kerins is the last player to come close, having won a football medal in 2001, but lost the hurling final. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2018 - 16/08/2018 09:02:54 2133761 Link 0 |
Con O'Callaghan has done that in reverse. Senior Inter-County with the Dubs and Club Hurling title with Cuala. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13694 - 16/08/2018 11:37:38 2133807 Link 1 |

I never realised that he won with Salthill. That would be some achievement.

Brian Murphy of Cork has All Ireland medals at schools, minor, u21and senior levels in both hurling and football. He also has All Ireland senior club football medals . He has no senior club hurling medals. Greengrass (Louth) - Posts: 6029 - 16/08/2018 16:36:16 2133892 Link 1 |
Con is a pure stud. I'd love to see him go with the Dub Hurlers full time. I think they'll be a dangerous team for the next few years. They gave Galway, Kilkenny, and Wexford all they could handle and I think they'll only improve.

Yep Teddy McCarthy played both finals, Walsh missed one of the finals but definitely played most of the games on the journey to the final he missed afaik. theborderfox (Monaghan) - Posts: 138 - 17/08/2018 23:23:37 2134158 Link 0 |
Alan Keirns won Football club (SK 2006), Hurling club (2011), football county (2001) and lost hurling finals in 01 and 05. It would have been some achievment had he the set of four, pretty sure he would have been the only one in history. Three out of four aint bad though.
