I'm in attendance at these games today. Fantastic win for Sligo in the Lory Meagher, coming from behind with a late goal. Kildare vs London up next. When you see how much these players celebrate the victory and the passion they show you realise how important these games are. As the Sligo captain said, they put in every bit as much effort as the top level teams.

I watched the Nicky Rackard final on the TG4 youtube page today. Very entertaining stuff, and was impressed with the score taking from Donegal in the second half. A huge boost for the county, who have made decent progress in the last 15 years in promoting the game in a football county.

I'd also like to commend TG4 on finding a way to cover the game. As great as the senior championship has been this year, the coverage has been abysmal lower down. I don't think anyone expects live games, but there wasn't a camera at even one game in the Joe McDonagh Cup, where I'm sure supporters of the counties involved would have appreciated a few minutes of highlights on the Sunday Game

Anyway, exciting times for Donegal hurling and well done to Sligo and Kildare too
