Kerry V Clare

Despite the scoreboard there was plenty for Kerry to improve on, we were beaten in midfield, and Clare ran through us easily at times but just didn't bring their shooting boots. Kerry didn't create a clear goal chance either despite hitting over 30 points.

Priorities now are to win the Munster final and get in to the super 8's. It's hard to know what to expect from Cork in three weeks time. Should be a good day out anyway, looking forward to seeing the new PUC and hopefully a good game."
The midfield is an interesting one, i believe Kerry flooded the area for the kick out and set up 4-4-4 across the lines on the kick out, they won 20 of Clares kick outs and they led to seven scorers, the turnover numbers were high for Kerry as well, i didn't see the game but sounds like on the numbers Kerry did well in midfield mate or did well flooding the line.

I saw the highlights and it looked a master class in point execution, i think Sean O Shea is a gem, you can tak on 5-7 points on to Kerry scores in recent years with im in the team. The lack of a green flag will be an area i think Kerry will try to improve.

I assume the defense wasnt really tested in a hugely adverse way, it would be good for Kerry to get a good tough test from Cork in the final and expose any weakness in defense and midfield to work on before the business end.

On a neutral level ;) its great to see so many young careers starting yesterday, congratulations to all the young lads and the coaches who have worked them throughout the years.

Yerra any day you put 32 points on a team is a good day, esp with 7 debutants!

If you had to quibble, we aren't scoring goals and don't like the fact the Mike Geaneys and BJK's are the first ones being called from the bench when there's so much younger talent about.

Far sterner test coming in 3 weeks but looking forward to it, An Riocht Abu

That's exactly the case but the Clare midfield had the better of Moran and Barry initially. We completely overran them eventually, after we flooded the area and broke the ball away from their midfield. The pace and efficiency of our attack was a joy to behold but I wouldn't expect the top teams to be so accommodating. It was a good day for Kerry no doubt about it and we have lots to build on but much sterner tests await.

Sean o'Shea Is class, the prototype modern day footballer and I'm relieved the Aussies didn't nab him. I hope he fulfills his potential. I thought all the youngsters did well really but it wasn't much of a test, Clare really let themselves down unfortunately.

We only won 16 of Clare's kickouts and we scored from 14 of them.
