Say what you like about our team performances from the last 2/3 years but it takes a right dose of ignorance to state a team with the likes of Neil Flynn, Daniel Flynn, Kevin Feely, Eoin Doyle and Paul Cribbin coming into their prime age, is starting from zero on the talent scale.

Move Dublin footballers into the Connacht Championship a la the Galway hurlers into the Lenister Championship.

And move Kerry footballers into Ulster championship while you are at it.

And why not try moving the Galway hurlers down to Munster for a few years now also.
They will win Liam again this year and are Dominating the Leinster Hurling Championship. Time to move them on now.

Things may be looking up in Leinster (still long way to go) and underage success is never a cert to transfer to senior, but with Kildare winning u20 and Meath convincingly winning minor today we may be seeing some green shoots :)
Hon the royal.

Hard luck Kildare. The records will show ye finished on 0 points from both your Division 1 and Super 8 exploits this year but the reality from your performances I think is very different. A slight improvement from your part could see massive gains. You have a good mixture of physique, speed and skill and if ye can improve on the discipline side of things I think good things will come. Your U20s don't look half bad either. Looking forward to seeing how ye will develop over next 2-3 years. Good luck.

Now that the scores are in and the dust settles.

Good to take stock of Leinster Football, two All Ireland Titles in Football now sit in Leinster.

Meath wining a minor Leinster and Wicklow doing fantastically well.

Longford and Carlow doing jobs on Meath and Kildare at Senior.

Kildare making the quarterfinals at Senior and beating the All Ireland Finalists of the last two years on the way.

Meath unluckily beaten by a controversial decision against the All Finalists.

Laois getting to a Leinster final.

A year of progress for the vast majority of teams the province i think all and all.

yes seems quite competitive if we take dublin out of the mix which is prob whats needed realistically now. maybe take dublin out and let them play the provoncial champions of ulster, munster and leinster and connacht on rotation at least it will let other provinces get a tanking every few years and not always have it inflicted on leinster counties. i can see teams begining to throw matches in leinster to avoid dublin. they will take there chances in qualifiers against lesser teams. im not really sure did meath go 100% to beat longford this year , i know that a lot of meath fans were actually quite happy not to be playing dublin the next game. meath ended up finishing there season in a lot more positve light than longford did
