Seeing as I have upset some sensitive people here ,I apologies for disrespecting the Roscommon defense I was just more so stating that a handicap bet -11 at odds like 10/11 might not be the best bet because Roscommon defense is leaky and if Leitrim take the chances roscommon will allow them then that might ruin any handicap bets.
Roscommon attack is absolutley lethal and they will prob put up a high score so I suppose you never know
And also just because a person doesn't say bad things about a certain county doesn't make him a troll so cop on to yourselves ,we are all on this to give our opinions whether people agree with them or not that's what this forum is for

Also Galway shouldn't take Kerry or Monaghan for granted although Galway should beat both based on raw talent alone."
Stop trying to blow smoke up the ass of Galway. This year or next they are a long way from that level you suggest. First they need to win a championship game in Croke Park something they haven't done since 2001.

Is McInerny the lad who opted out of the league to study for his exams?

Yeah played the early rounds then missed a few games but was back on the bench for the final and was brought on at half time. Was studying medicine in UCD and had his final exams

Surely there be couldn't be an upset here? Are the Rossies slightly complacent with their eye off the ball. Its only a matter of what score they can run up according to the fans. The Roscommon players will look to do a professional job in Carrick and dispatch lowly Leitrim early on and then prepare for a tough Connacht final with Galway. Leitrim fans have no expectation, too many years of heavy beatings, keep the score down, maybe play a blanket to avoid a shaming. Letrims league form was poor and they stole a win against favourites and best team New York. Rossies promoted to DIv 1 and flying, reigning Connacht Champions. Leitrim rock solid stuck in Div 4. Roscommon will rely on their talent and skill, Leitrim will rely on their arch enemies many hammerings to motivate them. Leitrim teams come and go every 3 or 4 years, another generation disappears, another younger appears and Roscommon do the usual, hammer their neighbours. Its hard see anything going wrong for Roscommon tomorrow. They got their warning in New York 2 years ago.

Players interviews I seen nearly all mention the loss to down in the league when they were shocking even if playing with 14 for 55 minutes that hopefully is being driven into them to be non complacent.

Rossies just about getting ready to turn the screw. Hopefully they are thinking about us poor punters and will hammer in 5 goals to beat the 11 point handicap

Didn't expect anything other than a Roscommon win. Thought there might have been a little less in it but they have very talented forwards

Well done to the players and management. Preparation and mindset was spot on going into that game and that equals a comfortable win against Leitrim every time.

We actually had 13 different scorers on the day with 21 points coming from play not bad at all when we never needed to get out of 2nd gear. Created 3 goal chances on the day all well saved by the Leitrim goal keeper from E Smith,Killoran and D Murtagh while Leitrim created one goal chance early in the 1st half. However it was a game were it was decided that we would kick points against Leitrims blanket and we kicked some outstanding points from play on the day and Leitrim to their credit kicked some top points 2nd half also.

A number of our subs looked sharp when introduced. While our best players on the day i thought was B Stack and the two Murtaghs

We move swiftly on to the Connacht final now where McInereny,Compton,McManus should be much more match fitter while fingers crossed N Daly,F Lennon and U Harney will be available for selection. If Galway win as expected the final will be in Dr Hyde Park and we will go into that final as underdogs and as we seen last year that will suit us just fine.

What was McStays comments in relation to where the final is played? I get if Galway are playing Roscommon it's on in the Hyde and I'd agree with that. But then in the article McStay "conceded" if they were playing Sligo it would be on in Castlebar? Do Roscommon Sligo not have the same home and away agreement like the rest Connacht.

No the only teams in Connaght with home and away agreement are Roscommon,Mayo and Galway. The rest Connaght don't have an agreement. Sligo and Leitrin can't host provincial finals so cant chose either Hyde,McHale or Salthill to host there games

That is only half true. All the 5 counties have a home and away agreements. Sligo and leitrim can't host connacht finals but the agreement still stands if sligo were to beat galway and it was roscommon turn to host against sligo the game then would be in the Hyde ( if health and safety issues sorted) but as it is sligo turn to host the can pick most probably castlebar. This does not however count as sligo having taking there turn hosting and if both counties get drawn together next year then the game would be in sligo.

Cuckoosinging has it 100% correct. A Roscommon Sligo final would be played in a neutral venue which will be Castlebar more than Salthill. Semi final or quarter final between Sligo and Roscommon is home and away agreement.

Sligo and Leitrim only have a home and away arrangement with the other 3 until the provincial final. Anyway if it is us against the Rossies has to be the Hyde. McStay in fairness looking at the bigger picture as well in terms of the economic benefit to the town. If it is Sligo Ros Castlebar like the 2010 final.
