Well done Cork on giving us false hopes as usual

Glad to get the draw after such a bad opening half. Fair play to Noel McGrath he hurled well throughout the game.

Thought Keenan gave Cork a couple of questionable frees in the 2nd half when we had built up a head of steam. But hey not bad getting a draw after being 9 points down.

McGraths pulled Tipp out of a hole today, thioguht they were sank. Cork got very sloppy and jittery around the half back and half forward line in the second half, they through that away and I feel the loss of Cadoagan will come into it more and more as the weeks go on. With Cadoagan in the team Cork can win the All Ireland, without him they cant, Simple. Cork through that away today and will feel deflated. Six day turn around will be tough for them and I think Limerick will take them in the pairc. Theyll be jaded after the last two weeks while Limerick will be fresh.
Fair play to Clare in the other match, impressive scoring and I feel they have an exciting settled team and expect them to at least qualify from the group. Waterford are doomed and I feel bad for Derek McGrath as injuries to Darragh Fives, Connors, Coughlan, Austin Gleeson, Pauric Mahony and De Burca will ultimately define this season, what I think will be Derek McGrath's last at the helm. Theyre looking a bit of a mess and a fixture in a neutral venue against a revived Tipp side is exactly what they dont want, They need to get some of the injured lads like Paddy Curran back. Kevin Moran's red card today will also prove very costly. Tough job for Waterford management this week trying to pick up the pieces, they look vulnerabke

Cork left a win behind them in Thurles. Some positives in that Shane Kingston played a blinder.
I would freshen up half back line, and make positional changes. Swap half back Chris Joyce with corner back Sean O' Donoghue....Chris has played in full back line before and O' Donoghue looks like a good attacking half back.
Lehane is due a good game and game against Limerick on Saturday could be a classic. Harnedy is playing well.
Michael Cahalane will be back as well, and may start.
Not a bad weekend..big win in football and a draw in hurling.

Curious to get a neutral perspective on Cork Limerick this Saturday. Both fans seem pretty confident. The winner will be set up nicely and have one foot in a final. Cork thrived in games where they were given lots of space due to poor defending from Clare and lack of pace from Tipp. Also some poor tactics. I'm hoping Cork will struggle against a more rounded, well drilled Limerick side. There's not much between the teams IMO so objectively you'd think home advantage might swing it but my heart says Limerick by 3!

Just from a neutral perspective I think Cork are absolutely flying it and the whole team is buzzing with confidence and I fear on a good sunny evening in Cork if they play the way they did in the 1st half against Tipp for the whole match against Limerick...then Limerick could get hammered. Limerick are doing well and improving but I think Cork are a better team. But if Limerick finish 3rd then they will probably get Dublin in the premilary 1/4 final and surely win that one.

Common sense would say the 3rd week on the bounce will be too much against a rested confident Limerick team. I'd say Limerick will win. My hope is by not too much and then we can win the last against Waterford to sneak through. The draw against Tipp was very damaging mentally though, from the position they were in at half time.

Ridiculous to have that mindset though as I would have snapped your hand off for a draw before throw in.

In my opinion the Tipperary v Clare match in Semple Stadium is effectively a Munster semi final with the winner most likely joining Cork in the Munster Final so my prediction is Clare v Cork 2018 Munster hurling Final.

I would say it's more of a quart final as the winner will still have to win their 4th game to qualify.
A win would leave Clare on 4 points or Tipp on 3 with 5 points being the minimum needed to qualify for the final

Yes that's true but Clare will beat Limerick in Ennis and Limerick will beat Waterford so group would finish Cork 7pts, Clare 6pts, Limerick 4pts, Tipperary 3pts, Waterford 0pts.

Limerick have been beating cork at all underage levels since 2011 so we cant be that far off them!

I think you're right in terms of Limerick being a match for Cork. However your logic around underage teams is not necessarily a perfect barometer of senior teams.

Case in point would be the near domination of Cork at U21 football in Munster up until a couple of years ago. Despite that, Kerry were still easily the strongest, with Clare and Tipp catching up with Cork.

you dont need to tell a limerick man about underage not gauranteeing anything, but yes that was my meaning.. I mean it will be close, not a guaranteed win for Limerick.

A moment of madness by Gillane and he fully deserved the red card. Too bad because otherwise it has been a cracking game so far.

Gillane deserved to go. Very silly boy. O Donoghue deserved his yellow for initially pulling Gillanes jersey, then he pulled the jersey again in the next play and the ref spotted it then bottled the yellow. Shamefull from the official

What a brilliant game. Great performance by Limerick in the second-half and the draw is a fair result.

Thought we were gone after Gillane saw red. That's a great result for us all things considered.

Right on both counts.Gillane deserved to go.He's young and he'll learn. But the ref visibly bottled sending Cork's O'Donoghue off as he realised the Corkman already had a yellow just as he was about to give him a second yellow. That's just not on from the match official.Great game to watch and credit to both teams.

Tremendous advert for hurling. Superb entertainment.
Getting a man sent off changes the dynamic of a game, it should obviously benefit the 15 man team but how often do we see what happened today.
Limerick were galvanised in 2nd half, and closed Cork down completely.
Cork also had a 6 day turnaround which may not have helped but all in all I think a draw is a fair result.
So far the round robin has turned out to be a huge success but that is mainly because there is not a lot between any of the 5 Munster Counties.
At this stage any team can be in Munster Final & any team can be finished for the year in a fortnight's time.
