Regrading

(Oldest Posts First)

Does anyone know for certain the situation with regrading?

Previously, the situation was that if you didn't play for a year, you could automatically play for any adult team in your club without being re-graded. However, now the suggestion is that this isn't the case due to a new rule or clarification of an existing rule brought in in 2016.

This means that theoretically for example, someone whose most recent game for a club was at senior level, say in 2012, can't play for the club's junior team this year without being regraded?

Any clarification appreciated.

Not sure Rocky, you would hope that common sense will prevail and that you or whoever is the player in this situation can play junior this year if they like.

Every county is different but you should be allowed to play
