Well, well well. I give my honest opinion of what I think will be the outcome of a game of hurling (Limerick to beat Galway in the AI); in a prediction competition I've been involved in for the last 3 months. And I've received 3 red thumbs down, within the last 24 hours. Whereas, I must point out, anyone else who has predicted Galway to win have been given green thumbs up.

This competition, as I said has been running for about 3 months among a small group of us, and I've never noticed any thumbs up or down, why should there be? But of course, the Johnny-come-latelies and bandwagoners from Galway have now invaded the topic.

I wouldn't worry about it! I got two thumbs down for going for Clare for the replay!
When I say anything on here on either Galway or KK that is anyway critical...I get a negative reaction for being from Tipp and no other reason. A lot of people can't see past that.
The reason why I'm going for Limerick for the final is because I think they are the team on form. If Galway play to their potential they will win.

Limerick 1-5

I agree Limerick are the form team right now but I think the two weeks off will do Galway a world of good whereas the three weeks off might slow Limericks momentum. Should be a good one though.

Last game of the year, strange to have it in August but that is it.
I tip Limerick by 1-5 points. I feel they have the players to win. It is great to see two new teams contest the final, following on from Galway v Waterford last year.

Final scores from All Ireland Final to wrap up the season. Remarkably Carlovia had a rare off day,but still tops the table.

Carlovia 175. 175
Saffron Hurl. 150
Tiobraid. 148+4. 152
Cockney Cat142+2 144
Long ridge 142 +4. 146
Byanthon. 112. 112
Trump2020108+0. 108
Port in Faithful 57+0. 57

7 people had a shot at forecasting the Final, but looking back to May when the championship started, around 14/15 people forecast the scores, but just 7 finished.
Posters should check their scores.

Carlovia will be in OCP in a few weeks alongside Mick Mc Donagh at the Park Avenue end. Looking forward to
2019 season already.

There are too many people to thank without whose help I could never have climbed these steps.

Firstly my family for allowing me to analyze hurling matches for days instead of looking after them.

I'd like to thank my background team, physio, masseuse and kitman.

But most of all the generous sponsors from who are providing the prize of a visit to O'Connor park and 100,000 euro.

For me it was never about the money but the glory for Carlow.

I'll see you all in Dinn ri.

Well done Carlovia, hard work pays off.

A year to remember for the Barrowsiders. Inaugural Joe McDonagh Cup and Hurling Championship Prediction champions in the same season.
