Your parents bring you to the nursery of any club handy/huge/great can be anywhere. But they usually are from the district or nearest local schools. But you can join any club you like.

There must have been some surprise at the Kilmacud Crokes nursery when Paul Curran's parents landed with him from Thomas Davis nursery after twenty years of playing for them or at Vincents when Eamon Fennel landed in to U6's training after taking a year out......

Yeah transfers happen sometimes.

Mostly they're not contested at all but some high profile ones have been in the past.

I've been working on maps showing each club within it's traditional parish in both football and hurling. Here's some examples, hopefully the links will work :)

Unfortunately there's few resources on the web to go to and it's hard to tell how accurate the maps are, they're based on the Catholic parish boundaries but not all clubs follow these boundaries. Any information you might have about where clubs draw from in your own county in both codes, maybe a list of each club by parish would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi all, the club map has been making a lot of progress, but still a long way off. So far I've added all of County Wexford's parishes - thanks to the interactive map Wexford County Council have of their parish boundaries online, most of County Wicklow and south County Kildare - thanks to an OSI map of the Archdiocese of Dublin's parishes and Kilkenny from a map I found online.

If anyone has a link to a page or even better an interactive map of their county, club or diocese's boundaries (usually the same as the RC parish boundaries) that would be great.

Still a long way to go, feel free to let me know of any mistakes I've made so far.
