Replying To skillet:  "Nap would have had a reputation for being a bit soft in Limerick over the years, not any more ..what character they've shown there. Losing 2 men in 5mins but winning like that.
. Incredible team they've turned into these last few years."
Slaughtniell at their work today getting players sent of done the same in Ulster final nap didn't lie down well done just an average Ulster team that's it

I'm saying N.a. Piarsaigh didn't bring enough heat in the first half..didnt want to go into the trenches. But Slaughtneil through getting the 2 boys sent off forced Na Piarsaigh to fight and they did brilliantly. It's unfortunate that they may be missing Crimes and Boylan for the final through what is probably orchestrated simulation Slaughtneil

Congratulations to both Na Piarsaigh and Cuala today. N.a. Piarsaigh showed great drive and character to get that result today.
Thought Liam Mellows were one of the poorest club teams I've seen come out of Galway for some time. Makes for a great final.

I think it's fair to say nap got out of jail but to be fair considering the favouritism etc ''twas hard to see them at a hundred per cent if they're not in the final it'll be over soon enough.

How bad were d Dempsey wod and downes.am I dreaming thinking these boys can win Limerick an all Ireland!?

I've read a lot about slaughtneil prior to yesterday's game , great tight knit community , winning Ulster treble etc but they spoiled a lot of that today .
They played great hurling in the first half but for some reason they started trying to provoke nap players hitting them and when got similar back they dropped to the ground as if shot and all other players pleading to ref to send off those bad Na piarsaigh lads . Na piarsaigh were lucky it only was 2 as there was 7 or 8 instances of slaughtneil players playing oscar type roles in the second half . Hope they don't get away with such antics in the football .

It does sully Slaughtneils great achievement this year. They let themselves down. Brolly might opine on their carry on in his column. I doubt he will though.

Wholeheartedly agree. It was not in any way a dirty game. The two lads lashed out in frustration and got straight reds, but I wouldn't have said that those two isolated instances were in the spirit of the game. It was a hard hitting, physical game, where the hits were fair!

Really? Slaughtneil didn't have to do anything of the sort in Ulster! Didn't have to move out of second gear to win the Ulster title this year. That would mean you haven't much mass in any Ulster team if they're just "average"
Maybe Ballygalget should strive for that level of mediocrity next year!!

There has been some distasteful comments made towards Slaughtneil which I don't agree with. They were flat in the second half, a bit like Na Piarsaigh in the first and I thought their skills weren't up to scratch. The wides killed them.

Cuala were a joy to watch. The lesser lights like goalie Sean Brennan, the centre back Sean (sorry his second name escapes me!) and Nicky Kenny shone through and then Con O'Callaghan his first touch is incredible. Liam Mellows never gave up but they're just lacking in some deadly forwards.

Question: Is Nicky Kenny related to Mattie the manager?

Anyway we got the final we wanted.

He's a quality player. Before the weekend, I thought Na Piarsaigh would beat Cuala. I'm not so sure now.

I'd have to give the slight edge to Cuala. They start well and will need very little time to settle in Croke Park. Na Piarsaigh take forever to get into gear and have leaked a few goals. It could be a great game allright..
