London captain Liam Gavaghan is excited by the prospect of playing all their NFL Division 4 games at home next year.

Due to redevelopment work at Ruislip this year, the Exiles were forced to travel for all their league games, but they can enjoy home comforts in 2018.

Gavaghan stressed to the Irish Post that this is a great opportunity for the side to make an impression on their league form and improve on the one win that they secured this year.

"We want to make Ruislip a fortress during the league campaign. It will give us an advantage in terms of preparation and playing in front of our own fans," said Gavaghan.

"It was difficult for the team last year travelling every weekend. The league is relentless and it was a big challenge arriving into Ireland on a Saturday and getting back to London late on a Sunday night before facing into a week of work."

He added: "Ciaran (Deely) and his coaches have put in great foundations in the last few years and it will be up to the whole panel to start winning league and championship games."
