A memorial match dedicated to former Dublin footballer Tomas Mulligan will take place in the Good Counsel GAA grounds in Drimnagh this evening (6.30pm).

The 'Northside' v 'Southside' match will feature a host of ex-Dublin stars, with the likes of Alan Brogan, Senan Connell and Vinnie Murphy set to line out for the northsiders, and Paul Griffin, Coman Goggins, John McNally and Ray Cosgrove featuring for the southsiders.

Entry will be free, with all proceeds from donations received going to Pieta House. Tomas Mulligan made his senior championship debut for Dublin in 2003, but a series of knee and ankle injuries meant he never fulfilled his potential. He played club football for Ballinteer St. John's and later for Round Tower after moving to Clondalkin. Tragically, he took his own life on August 26, 2007 at the age of just 30.
