Lavey are the first team through to the fonaCAB Ulster Club Champions Minor Football Tournament final after seeing off 2018 winners Enniskillen Gaels by 0-11 to 0-5 in yesterday's semi-final at St Paul's, Belfast.
Matthew Downey, son of Derry's 1993 All-Ireland SFC winning captain Henry, scored 0-7 (0-6 from frees) for the winners who led by 0-7 to 0-1 at half-time. Also prominent for the Erin's Own were Enda and Calum Downey and Patrick and James McGurk, sons of Seamus Downey and Johnny McGurk, who also featured in Derry's 1993 success.
Lavey will meet the winner of the St Stephen's Day semi-final between Termon and Kilcoo in the decider at the same venue on New Year's Day.
