Monaghan hurt by defeat
November 07, 2018Aghadrumsee manager Colum Monaghan admits that their defeat to Derry side Limavady in the Ulster club JFC semi final was a painful one to take.
A late 1-02 by the Derry champions saw them snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and leave the Fermanagh champions wondering what might have been.
“It’s disappointing when you know you didn’t perform to your potential,” said Monaghan. “It’s hard to put into words. It’s hard for the boys, it’s a small club, they’ve been at the bottom of division 2 for a few years, but they got themselves together and they’ve had a good run, but it’s just disappointing to finish like that.
“We would have taken an Ulster semi-final back in January, but it’s hard to think about that just yet.”
