New Dublin manager's first game will be against Kerry

The new Dublin football manager's first game in charge will be against Kerry.
With Dublin opting not to take part in the O'Byrne Cup, their next game will be against the Kingdom in the opening round of the Allianz League at Croke Park on Saturday, January 25. The game will be a repeat of this year's All-Ireland final which the Dubs won after a replay to complete an unprecedented five-in-a-row of Sam Maguires.
Dessie Farrell is the bookies' favourite to succeed Jim Gavin, who sensationally stepped down as manager on Saturday. 2011 All-Ireland winning boss Pat Gilroy is also being linked with a return to the role, while Jason Sherlock, Paul Clarke, Declan Darcy, Mick Bohan and Paul Curran could also be in the reckoning.
