Diarmuid Connolly was making headlines once again yesterday after scoring four points for St Vincent's in their All-County League Division 1 opening round win over Skerries Harps.

In what was his first appearance of the year, the exiled Dublin star shot three points off his left foot in the opening half and added another after the break as the Marino men battled to a 2-15 to 0-14 victory over their newly-promoted opponents.

It was recently reported that the four-time All-Ireland winner was doing one-on-one sessions with Dublin GAA’s high performance manager Bryan Cullen, but this was strongly refuted by manager Jim Gavin after last Saturday week's defeat to Kerry.
