Longford have taken the Leinster MF Shield honours for 2018 thanks to a five-point victory over Dublin at Glennon Bros Pearse Park.
Featuring teams that finished 3rd and 4th in their respective Leinster MFC groups, the Midlanders registered a 1-13 to 0-11 victory over the visitors in today's decider.
Keelin McGann scored the game's only goal in the 7th minute and the home side took a slender 1-5 to 0-7 lead into the break.
A solid defensive showing was key to Longford's win as they restricted the team in sky blue to four second-half points.
At the opposite end of the field, they put some daylight between themselves and their opponents when firing over eight points.
