Rostrevor did not field in the u18 Gaelic at An Ríocht. 

In the u14 Gaelic An Ríocht v Warrenpoint, we won 6-11 to 1-5.

In the u14 Camogie Championship An Ríocht v Aghaderg, we lost 8-11 to 1-0.

In the Senior Football Championship An Riocht v Ballyholland, we lost 0-13 to 0-6.

In the u16 Gaelic An Ríocht v Saval, we lost 3-13 to 1-7.

The Atticall u14 Football Tournament was cancelled.

u6, u8 & u10 Camogie Blitzes took place in Warrenpoint on Sunday.

On Sat 21 Sept An Ríocht will undertake a walk & run to Croke Park, home of the GAA, via the traditional route, emulating Down’s journeys to Sam Maguire & raising money for youth development & three charities of significance to our community - Suicide Down To Zero, Southern Area Hospice & Autism Support Kilkeel. Each of our members, family, friends & the wider community are invited & encouraged to get involved by walking or running all or part of the route & by raising much needed funds for these good causes. Kingdom Youth Club Re-opens for the Autumn on Monday 16 September. Kingdom Youth Club Open Night 7pm to 9pm Friday 13th September, come on out and meet our Youth Support Workers, view our refurbished facilities, chat about our programmes taking place over the next six weeks to Friday 25th October, our Halloween Camp, and share ideas on activities for the second six week block from 4th November to Christmas. Already organised are: Legends Fitness Mixed Boxing Training for aged 11 to 13 & for aged 14+; Boys & Girls Clubs OCN Level 1 Award in Understanding Healthy Eating; No Need for Speed Road Safety including free Driving Lessons; Late Night Friday Drop-in; Kids Club Activities for aged 4 to 6 & for aged 7 to 10 ;Girls Night / Boys Night; Summer Camp 2020; Personal Development Programmes; Game Zone / Arts & Crafts / Movie Club; Boys & Girls Clubs Safeguarding Young People with Disabilities Training; Sign Language / Cupla Focal; Mental Health Awareness / Basic First Aid; Table Tennis / Volleyball / Badminton / Basketball; Kelly’s Roller Disco & more.

 

Kingdom Youth Club is registered with and supported by the Education Authority. Our aim is to provide young people with a social, learning and community experience; to make pathways into education and employment by offering accredited courses and learning opportunities; and by providing diversionary activities to keep young people from anti-social behaviour.

The Summer Scheme came to a close on Friday past, big thank you to all the staff and volunteers for the great job they have done over the past two months, including our young peer educators Caitlin, Melanie, Blaine and Louisa. We really appreciate everything you do for the club and young people. And of course, a big thanks goes out to the young people without whom we wouldn’t have a summer scheme; we hope you enjoyed it as much as we have. Last week we had visits from Community Tribal Drummers and Go Fly Your Kite and an end of summer party.

There was a small attendance for the one punch / anti-social behaviour workshop on Wednesday. The Start360 programme for aged 11 to 13 took place on Tuesday with low numbers but again a very worthwhile programme.

 

We have a lot of clothes that were left behind after the summer scheme these need to be collected before 7pm on Wednesday 28th November or they will be donated to charity thanks

 

Saturday 7th September It’s A Knockout on the Mourne Esplanade for teams of 10 young people aged 10 to 16 years. We have one team, let us know if you are interested and we can enter another.
