Camogie coach Lisa Fearon attended coaching with National Hurling Development Manager Martin Fogarty during the week, well done.

 

In the u16 Gaelic An Riocht v Rostrevor, we came from ten points down to draw 5-5 to 0-20 while v Shamrocks, we won 7-18 to 2-6.

 

The Reserve footballers played a friendly v Down Masters and a league match in Ballyholland which we lost 7-14 to 1-16.

 

The u12 footballers participated in the Ambrose Rogers u12 Gaelic tournament at Longstone on Saturday.

 

The IMPACT programme on Wednesdays continued with the first of two boxing sessions at Dunavil on Wednesday past. (PHOTO)

 

Congratulations to KYC Leader-in-Charge Jennifer who has completed her BSC Degree in Community & Youth Work at Ulster University.

 

The u8 footballers are playing a blitz in Ballykinlar on Saturday 20th July.

The 1-500 raffle will take place at half time in the Senior Camogie match v Ballycran, have you got your ticket yet?

 

KYC ‘You’ve Got Talent’ show on Tuesdays 30th July, 13th & 27th August for young people of all ages and all abilities.

On Sunday 21st July Cooley Camogs will visit Dunavil with an array of players from u8 to u16 and there will be mini games at all ages.

 

The Shedders are on the road again; on Tuesday 27th August they are off to the Auld Lammas Fair in Ballycastle and from 10th to 12th September they are away to Cork for a few days.

 

Kingdom 2 Croker ‘The Traditional Route’ on Saturday 21st September, all ages from under 6 to over 60, come join us for a walk / run / cycle / solo / relay to Croke Park taking the same route Down’s 5 All Ireland Winning teams. Weekly cycle runs are currently taking place from Dunavil on Thursdays from 7pm with routes of varying degrees of difficulty and there will be an Official Launch Night on Thursday 1st August. The next planning meeting is at 7pm on Thursday 18th July for anyone interested in getting involved (provided you are not out cycling).
