There were quarter-final wins for Tyrone’s Tattyreagh and Cavan’s Mullahoran in the Ulster Club IFC today.

Tattyreagh scraped over the challenge of St Peter’s of Armagh at the Athletic Grounds this evening by the narrowest of margins - 3-11 to 2-13.

First-half goals from James Darcy and Jarlath Mc Donagh boosted the winners into a 2-8 to 1-6 interval lead and they withstood a strong second-half rally from the home side.

It was also a close encounter in Cootehill earlier in the day as extra-time was required to separate Mullahoran and Bredagh (Down).

The Breffni County men came out on the right side of the 3-13 to 2-11 result.

Enda O’Reilly (2) and Patrick Brady raised green flags for the winners.
