Thursday 20th September

6.30pm u11 Gaelic; 7pm u8 Camogie; 7.30pm Senior Gaelic; 7pm to 7.30pm Scor na nOg Registration Night for participants who are still u17 on 1st January 2019; you do not have to be a camogie or football player to take part in Scor. Scor competitions include solo singing and ballad groups, ceile and set dancing, table quiz, recitation, instrumental groups, and drama; 7.30pm Camogie monthly meeting; 7.30pm Senior Gaelic

Friday 21st September

Sunday 23rd September

u12 Camogie tournament in Castlewellan; 10.30am Breakfast; 11am u11 Gaelic Rostrevor v An Riocht; 8pm Bingo.

Monday 24th September

11am Men’s Shed; 6.30pm u10 & u12 Camogie; 6.45pm u13 Gaelic for those born in 2005/2006; 7pm Senior Camogie; 9pm Lotto

Tuesday 25th September

6pm Irish Dancing;7.30pm Senior Gaelic

 

At the u16 Camogie v Shamrocks, both sides scores nine time, 6-3 to 3-6.

 

At the u12 Gaelic, a much bigger Atticall won 12-8 to 2-4.

 

In the u16 Gaelic An Riocht v Mayobridge, the visitors won 3-18 to 1-12.

 

At the Senior Gaelic Mayobridge v An Riocht, we lost 2-16 to 0-10.

 

At the P5/P6 Gaelic Tournament in Saval, the boys collected the Shield.

 

In the u11 Gaelic Glenn beat An Riocht 5-8 to 1-6.

 

In the u12 Patsy Conkey Cup and u16 Sharon Morgan Cup we played matches with Magherafelt, Crossmaglen, Atticall, Edendork, Swatragh, Drumsurn and Mayobridge, great experience going forward.

 

37 teams from Derry, Armagh, Tyrone and Down comprising approx. 550 players participated in the Patsy Conkey u12 Camogie and the Sharon Morgan u16 Camogie tournaments playing 113 matches in 4 hours with Ballinascreen winning the Patsy Conkey Cup, Castlewellan the Patsy Conkey Shield and Middletown the Patsy Conkey Plate & Mayobridge the Sharon Morgan Cup and Edendork the Sharon Morgan Shield. Thanks to everyone for their co-operation before and on the day, especially our team of volunteers who ensured everything ran off smoothly; similar teamwork this weekend can deliver an equally positive result.

 

In the Carmel Doran Social Camogie and the JG Donnan Social Football Memorial Cups, thanks to Mayobridge Camogie and Down Masters Footballers for participating, An Riocht retained both Cups but it’s all about the taking part and in that spirit every player received an identical memento.

 

Home Bingo Week 6 (Blue) £200 Jackpot winner was Maura McManus. Week 7(Orange) Bingo on sale now.

 

The Shedders attended the Irish Mens Sheds Association annual gathering at Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork.

 

Keep Saturday 29th September free for a ‘Night at the Races’. Sponsor Cards are out now, £50 a Race or £10 a horse. The final race will be in aid of Diabetes UK.

 

An Riocht Annual Awards Night will take place on Saturday 17th November.

 

Good Luck to the Senior Camogs who play Portaferry in the Senior Championship Semi-Final this weekend (we don’t know if its Saturday or Sunday), a difficult but doable challenge.
