Down have suffered a blow ahead of their Ulster SFC quarter-final against Antrim on Sunday week with the news that Darragh O'Hanlon has been ruled out with a back injury.

There are even fears that the wing back from Kilcoo could miss the entire season with what is believed to be a slipped disc. O'Hanlon hasn't played for the O'Moore County since February, but had been in fine form for his club until recently.

A Kilcoo source told the Irish News: "The first signs aren't great. He was flying for us at club level, absolutely flying. Hopefully it's not too long-term, but he hasn't left his house for a week."
