An improving Letterkenny Gaels U-16 girls team made the long trek to Malin on Wednesday evening to play their latest league fixture. The girls faced off against a very strong Inishowen team and despite a slow start they worked their way back into the game coming to the break with two excellent points from Leanne Bradley and Orlaith Carey.
A much improved second half saw the girls score goals through Leanne Bradley and Hannah Kilfeather with points from Claire Sweeney and Leanne Bradley. The girls had a goal disallowed in the final quarter. Late in the game the hosts scored two goals to seal the victory. This was a very encouraging display from the young Gaels as they move on to play Naomh Colmcille at home on Tuesday. Overall this was a great team display from the girls who are improving with every game.
