Laois may be Derry’s opposition for Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC qualifier but for the Oakleaf County’s manager Damien McErlain, the focus is all on his own charges.
Owenbeg is the venue for this clash as Derry look to continue their winning ways in the qualifiers following their opening round win over Wexford.
For McErlain, it is all about getting their own performance in order and playing to their capabilities, which the Derry manager feels they will do.
“It will be a tough game but we have to look after ourselves and concentrate on getting our own performance right,” McErlain told the Derry Journal.
“Training has been going well since the Wexford game. The lads have been working very hard as they have done all season, and we are looking forward to getting out in front of a home crowd at Owenbeg.”
