Tyrone forward Kieran McGeary has stressed that it would be remiss of them to take Derry for granted ahead of their Ulster SFC clash.
The sides meet on May 12th in Omagh and Tyrone, a Division One team, will be strong favourites against Division Four outfit Derry.
However, McGeary does not buy into that favourites tag and feels that if they show any complacency, they will be punished.
“There will be absolutely no complacency when facing Derry. They many have been in Division Four but when two Ulster teams go head to head in the championship anything can happen, you have seen that in the past,” said McGeary.
The Pomeroy man feels that Ulster is going to be very competitive this year with a number of teams in good form.
“Donegal gained promotion and they will be giving the championship a big push. Monaghan were unlucky against Mayo and they will be taking time off before regrouping as well so it’s all to play for in the championship.”
