Mickey Moran will have former Derry star Conleith Gilligan working alongside him at Kilcoo.

Moran, a former Derry, Donegal, Mayo, Leitrim, Sligo and Slaughtneil manager, will also be bringing another Derry man, Ballinascreen’s Paul Devlin, with him to the Mourne County. Before drawing the curtain on his playing career with Ballinderry last month, Gilligan already had coaching experience with Tyrone outfit Coalisland.

“Everbody in the club is looking forward to having Mickey on board,” Kilcoo chairman Terry O’Hanlon told the Irish News.

“We never get ahead of ourselves in Kilcoo and we’re delighted Mickey is coming down. Conleith Gilligan is coming with him and Paul Devlin, who is mentoring with Mickey and will share the driving.”

Kilcoo have their sights set on regaining the Frank O’Hare Cup in 2019 after being denied a seven-in-a-row by Burren last month.
