Denis Ring accepts that his Cork side won’t have it all their own way in tonight’s Munster U20HC final against “awesome” Tipperary.

The game is a repeat of last year’s provincial U21 decider, which the Rebels won before losing to Tipp in the All-Ireland final.

Both teams will progress to an All-Ireland semi-final regardless of the outcome, but they’ll want to advance with silverware in the bag:

“It’s a massive challenge against a very strong Tipperary team that we looked at in their win over Waterford,” the Rebels manager told Echo Live. “They were awesome that night, they are a serious team in all areas but I would like to believe that we have a very good team ourselves.

“I would also like to believe that are a battle-hardened side after those wins over Limerick and Clare when we finished strongly in both games. That was a good sign of our fitness levels to be able to do that and it was very pleasing.”
