With all due respect, what outcome did that strike have on the destination of the Munster championship title? Kerry happy to pretend that the Munster championship is fair and competitive.

There is no pretense of anything in Munster. There is venue equity. There is fixture equity. Westmeath v Dublin, Mullingar. Dublin v Leinster semi-final opponent in a neutral venue. Dublin v Leinster final opponent in Croke Park. One Dublin Super 8 game in Croke Park. Semi-final and final in Croke Park. Are you suggesting that the Leinster Final and AI Semi and Final should be moved out of HQ? Sure sounds like it to me. Sure Croke Park has to be somewhere. Dublin are not going to complain about playing Westmeath in Mullingar. Unlike Kerry we won't pretend that having the game there will somehow enhance the competitiveness of our province. You still haven't answered my question though.

I would love to see it played in Mullingar, even just to shut up the whingers. Ticket allocation should be season ticket holders first then general sale after that. Absolutely it should be played in Mullingar. I haven't seen a Dublin fan on this who wouldn't fancy a trip down and we would gladly welcome them. Cusack Park is not a great venue but it is in the middle of the town so the potential for local businesses to benefit would be great (also I am sure some proceeds could be used to renovate the old ground). The excitement of having the best team in the country on our own patch would make for a great buzz and we could build on this to try and get more kids training and taking the games up. It would be a full house (we can sort out the season tickets it doesn't have to be the issue most make out) with a cracking atmosphere, instead the Leinster Council want Tullamore which neither county want and won't sell out anyway Darragh (Westmeath) - Posts: 301 - 14/10/2019 17:23:45 2243485 Link 2 |

You keep trotting this strike line out but yet you refuse to answer the important question of, what was the outcome of this strike and how has it influenced the destination of the Munster football title since? Congratulations on your 81st Munster title this year by the way.

The vast majority of Kerry's AI's were won during an era where you went straight from winning a provincial final into an AI semi. Kerry once won an AI by winning just 3 games. Did you say "more impressive"?

But surely they wouldn't have been prepared for teams from the other provinces? You know seeing as no one else plays football in Munster. How were they able to cope with teams from the mighty Leinster for example?
