Paddy Matthews, Starinagh, Collon passed away on Monday, January 23rd, 2017. A key figure in the local community, Paddy made a massive contribution to life in Collon. He was very active in a number of organisations including Mattock Rangers GAA Club, Louth GAA and Collon Parish Council. As Paddy was taken on his final journey from The Church of Mary Immaculate Conception to the New Cemetery, a Guard of Honour was provided by Mattock Rangers GFC, Broomfield & District Residents Association, Parish Council members, community members and former work colleagues from CIE.
