May 30th, 2014 marked the passing after a long illness of TJ (Thomas) Conophy, who spent his entire life living in Channonrock, where he was a well-known farmer. Outside of farming, his other main passion in life was gaelic football. Thomas represented the local Fane Rovers club and retained his interest in sport throughout his life, often listening to games on the radio.
