11 counties have representatives after a busy weekend of gaelic football action...
1. Shaun Patton (Donegal)
The Donegal netminder’s well-executed kick-out strategy succeeded in putting his team on the front foot in the Anglo Celt Cup decider.
2. Boidu Sayeh (Westmeath)
Sayeh and the Lake County safely negotiated the challenge of Limerick and their reward is a round 3 qualifier date with Clare.
3. Michael Fitzsimons (Dublin)
The Cuala clubman didn’t yield an inch to the Meath forwards.
4. Philip McMahon (Dublin)
Starting his first game in this summer’s championship, McMahon’s performance was another reason why the Royals finished with just four points to their credit.
5. Lee Keegan (Mayo)
The former ‘Footballer of the Year’ roamed forward to kick three points in his team’s five-point success over Down.
6. Robbie Pigott (Laois)
Pigott and Laois got the disappointment of their below-par Leinster SFC semi-final display against Meath out of their system in Owenbeg.
7. Frank Burns (Tyrone)
After their win over Longford, Burns & Co face a tricky assignment away to Kildare next Saturday.
8. Fergal Conway (Kildare)
Supporters to the Lilywhites will be hoping that Conway – who scored his team’s goal against Antrim – can continue his rich vein of form against the Red Hands.
9. Hugh McFadden (Donegal)
McFadden’s defensive positioning proved to be the rock on which many a Cavan attack perished in Clones.
10. Stephen O’Brien (Kerry)
When their backs were against the wall in the second-half, O’Brien displayed great leadership for the Kingdom.
11. Eoin Cleary (Clare)
The Banner County inflicted a nine-point defeat on Leitrim and Cleary took the scoring honours with 0-7 (five from play).
12. Ruairi Deane (Cork)
The hard-working Deane was very much to the fore as the Rebels gave their neighbours a right run for their money.
13. Paul Mannion (Dublin)
Mannion’s movement gave the Meath defence plenty to think about it and the Kilmacud Crokes ace clipped over three points.
14. Rian O’Neill (Armagh)
The Crossmaglen youngster bagged two second-half goals as Armagh sent Monaghan packing from this year’s championship.
15. Jamie Brennan (Donegal)
The elusive corner-forward pick-pocketed the Breffni County to the tune of 1-4 and also had a hand in creating other scoring opportunities for team-mates.
