Galway selector Noel Larkin has revealed that a number of the newcomers are taking their chance.

The Tribesmen maintained their unbeaten run with a win over Dublin last Sunday and once again they had a number of star performers.

With some regulars out through injury and other reasons, the door has been opened for fringe players to impress and Larkin stressed to the Connacht Tribune that they are grasping their opportunity with both hands.

“We were very happy,” said Larkin. “Ronan Burke was outstanding. There’s a couple of the guys taking their chances with both hands.

“Jack Grealish going well, Kevin Hussey, a few of the younger lads, Aidan Harte is having a great year so far.

“Very happy with all the backs, everyone’s contributing when they get their chance. There’s great competition for places.”

Galway head to O’Connor Park, Tullamore this Sunday where they take on an Offaly side seeking their first win of the campaign.
