Replying To Royal.Legend:  "Didn't realise just how little kildare have won over the years, thanks for the history lesson kingkeegan."
They just won promotion to Division 1 in 2021. That's the present.

Meath lose a game and guess what Andy McCantee is surrounded by reporters looking for a sore loser response. Kildare lads started it, Boohoo.

When you're expecting to beat a team you beat half the time you have to be wary of the half the time you don't. And when you're expected to lose against the team who normally beats you half the time then you know you're in with a chance. If that makes sense!

Dubs V Mayo - 6 Like(s)

Replying To royaldunne:  "Can't understand why Kildare tried to do a Westmeath on Dublin and keep score respectable. At least Meath had a cut and apart from two very dodgy penalty calls game could have had a different result. That been said as much as I'd love to see Mayo win I can see dubs putting down a marker for Kerry. Dublin by 5."
Shouldn't you remember the results from the 2019 and 2020 Leinster finals? That's right Meath lost by a collective of 37 points scoring a total of 13 points on the way. That's an average of 6.5 points per final and for all the great statisticians in Meath thats 3.25 points a half over 4 half's of football, on average! Well done, congratulations, what a great team.

all I can say is the neck, the absolute neck of some of the Meath posters on here would make you think that they think passion and neck is enough to beat the best team in the professional era. What a bitter bunch of losers.

Galway V Monaghan - 5 Like(s)
Before this game I thought Monaghan were the only team left with the belief and players to make a good final. I'm glad they won and really Galway came unstuck and will be disassembled against the Dubs. Not that I don't like Galwa, but as with all counties there are some blusterous supporters who talk nonsense. They are ok but once Shane Walsh is minded they are fairly predictable. Best of luck to Monaghan in the semi. 4 in a row is inevitable but a team that has beaten the Dubs albeit end of league affair getting to the final would be better than Donegal or Tyrone

When McCantee loses a game a reporter goes in for inevitable sore loser blurt. Well done Andy you can't resist. A few Meath players throwing punches will get deserved bans!

Hmmm I think that's exactly what you said Royaldunne. Pull your neck in a bit Meath are hardly world beaters.

I thought there'd be a thread on this already but I didn't see one. Anyway huge congrats to both Sligo and Kildare on their massive wins yesterday. Both would have been underdogs and both were deserved winners. Fantastic stuff!

Meath blinkers all over again. Like the most 'successful' minor team what nonsensical denial. They won nothing simple as that. And the minor team that hammered Dublin a couple of years ago- oh yeah they lost to a 'big' Kildare team. Perhaps therein lies some of the reasons of the feeling that your so disliked. What's to like with some of your loudest representatives making the same ignorant remarks over and over year after year. I have plenty of friends from Meath who have more cop on than the lads I read on this forum. Successful minor teams have medals.

All Ireland Football Final 2020 - Dublin V Mayo - 4 Like(s)

Replying To Irishcelt:  "Dublin going for 7 in a row in less than 7 months time brilliant achievement but can it be any more boring"
Yes. In 7 months we'll have listened to another Stephen Cluxton speech and Dublin will be looking back at things that weren't quite right.

Replying To pkboher:  "With Limericks clear dominance going to continue for many years to come is it now time to discuss the possibility of Limerick splitting into 2 teams for the interest and fairness of hurling?"

I've heard rumours of the Tyrone Covid players are after having Grandpa Joe like recoveries this evening and that they could be ready for 10am tomorrow?

I wouldn't say the Dubs were particularly dirty and I don't believe they are, but seriously refs have to ref the game as per the rules. Imagine a Mayo player ploughed in with that shoulder to the jaw, or hand trip or whatever, pick your choice. Referees need to look at this game and see why favorites don't deserve preferential treatment. Ref the game in fairness that's all players and fans ask at all levels.

All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2023 - 4 Like(s)

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Obviously. Can't afford to be missing Con that day because I can see Rossies hammering the daylights out of Kildare who will give up once they go a few points behind. Sligo probably a bit more fight in them. Dublin will be needing 3/4 goals methinks."
Well done on that prediction, even went a few points behind for you and still won. Also with Cork beating Mayo, Westmeath drawing with Tyrone are these signs that teams who struggle with the provincial dominance of Kerry and Dublin can compete in this new format against teams who have no traditional dominance on them.

"Very disappointed but that's football, we not good enough for division one if we couldn't win this one"True but not far off. Sport can be competitive and won on fine margins and there isn't much between these two teams, I feel some Meath people took too much from the 5 goal second half in the Leinster championship. Kildare were completely lacking in fitness and desire, which they obviously had today. Being Kildare they had to give us a scare in the end but great for this team to head into Division 1 in 2022.

Dublin have lost 1 championship game in 8 years. So it's fair to say they're dominating the all too. They've handed out some major thumpings to provincial champions like Galway Cavan Monaghan. Kerry perhaps have a chance against the Division 2 outfit when they meet in the semi-final
