Flynn back in Kildare fold

Good news for Kildare supporters as talented Johnstownbridge forward Daniel Flynn is back in the county squad.

New manager Jack O’Connor confirmed to the Leinster Leader that the exciting forward has returned to the squad have spent much of this year in the U.S.A.

O’Connor also revealed that Niall Kelly, Johnny Byrne and Paul Cribbin were back in training as they begin their preparations for the 2020 campaign.

“Daniel Flynn is back as is Niall Kelly; Johnny Byrne is back with us; Paul Cribbin is back training, but not making full contact yet as he is still getting over that shoulder injury from this season, but in general we have the vast majority of the players we want and are interested in,” stated O’Connor.

The former Kerry manager’s first competitive game in charge comes this Saturday when Kildare welcome Longford in the opening round of the O’Byrne Cup at St Conleth’s Park, throw in at 2pm.
