Joe Brolly has written Mayo's obiturary following their heavy defeat to Kerry.

The Westerners are facing an uphill task after the 10-point drubbing in Killarney, but could still make the All-Ireland semi-finals if they win their remaining Super 8 games against Meath in Croke Park next Sunday and Donegal in Castlebar on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

However, speaking on The Sunday Game last night, Brolly feels they're a beaten docket.

"Mayo are far too ad hoc. I was in Newry for the Down game and they flirted with disaster that night. Down missed three open goals in the second half that would've won the game for them. Armagh ought to have beaten them. Young Grugan went around the keeper and the whole of McHale Park, they all put their heads in their hands.

"Ah they're gone. They're definitely gone."
