Clonmel Commercials will appeal the €2,500 fine handed down to them following their no-show for the South Tipperary SFC final a fortnight ago. 

The 2015 Munster champions were due to play the divisional final in Monroe on December 2, but didn't take the field against opponents Ardfinnan who were present. According to the Irish Examiner, Commercials had informed the South Tipperary board a week earlier that they wouldn't be fielding on that date but, in spite of this, were still issued with the fine.
