Very good performance by an spideal, they have definitely gotten stronger while not losing their pace from last year.
Leitir Mór where very poor I'd have them, caherlistrane, killererin, milltown dogging it out for the drop.

Well I never thought I'd see the day.........comparing Spiddal style to the all conquering Dubs. Good lord!!

He said style.. in other words not putting 15 14 behind the ball..
Great results for Corofin, Tuam , Spiddal , Claregalway,
Danny got 2 goals, Martin 3 , wonder will this turn Kevin's head in any way...

The way Galway defend they would want 28 or 29 behind the ball such is the ease the Rossies waltzed through for their scores the last day. You are your all missing the point here folks. Galway are not a defensive team.......they don't know the meaning of defending. Look at the goal roscommon scored for God sake. They not an offensive team either.......1 point from 35 minutes of football. I really don't know what kind of a team they are apart from a shambles.

I think you're missing the point. This thread is about the Senior Club Championship, not Galway's terrible performance or lack of ability to defend.
There are 2 other threads still going to talk about those.
The point that was made was that An Spidéal played a very refreshing style of football today and put up a very good score in poor conditions. It was a huge improvement on the first match against Michael's.

I believe its the same date weekend of 10th of August. Open to correction. You have to remember club players will have taken time away for the summer, gone abroad etc so can't simply rejig everything even though in a perfect world of course it would make sense to run it all off now in peak summer.

Will there be a double round of matches in the championship in August Weekend 10/11 & 17/18.
The weekend of 17/18 is All Ireland hurling weekend. I believe that the next round of hurling fixtures is weekend of 25/26th

I see there's a few fixtures up for next weekend but not a full round, also Corofin and An Spideal are scheduled to play each other in the league on bank holiday Monday and then have a group championship game against Annaghdown and Killererin respectively on the following Friday evening, 2 games in 5 days? Surely that league game will be postponed.

Corofin v annaghdown and Claregalway v St.James ties of the round for me this week. The jimmies have the right players coming back at the right time, (Back injurys and trips from Bali) they'll beat claregalway. And Annaghdown could just shock Corofin

Don't think any team will shock Corofin this year, they're showing no signs of weakness and in fact are blending in more young lads this year.

Manager is gone not the coaches. Think the problem was with the manager.
