Fastest Players In The GAA - 3 Like(s)

Replying To browncows:  "A guy very fast over 20m may not be fast when receiving the ball 50m out as happens in todays game. Flynn is very fast over 30m and McCaffery while very fast is not as fast as he was before the injury. Wallace was very fast 4-5 years ago when winning titles but again has slowed somewhat when putting on some weight (as happens with all players). McCaffery a couple of years ago was one of the few players who could take the ball from 60m out and go past everyone. A Kildare player (forget his name) and McHugh could do something similar."
McCaffrey actually looks faster post injury !

Slaughtneil on the march again - 2 Like(s)

Replying To Cockney_Cat:  "Always the way with small teams, that once in a life time taste a bit of success. Form is temporary, class is permanent."
how are Slaughtneil showing no class? What a ridiculous post. They are doing their parish and county proud. I've been to most of their games in Ulster / AI series, both the team and supporters have carried themselves very well. A credit to the association

Replying To PattyONeill:  "Do you not think it has nothing to do with the lack of unified culture in the county? It is hard to explain but the accents are a good example, 4 accents in this county, we aren't really a unified people, people around Bellaghy have more in common with people from Co.Antrim, people in Moneymore are basically Cookstown people, people in Derry city are Inishowen people and people always making Londonderry jokes doesn't really help. I actually would like to see South Derry split and have a team of our own, there would be pride in the South Derry or Loughinsholin jersey. I have been to 3 Derry games in 10 years (Tyrone 09, Sligo 13 Cavan 13) I went to most championship games between 2000-2009 though."
Splitting the county in 2? Patty, that is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. You are part of the problem ...pride? pride my hole. Get off your hole and start supporting the county

Mayo v Tyrone - 1 Like(s)
'ambush', 'comfortable win' etc etc...sweet lord, Mayo will beat Tyrone on Sat by 3/4 points. The hype surrounding Tyrone is crazy (almost as crazy as the Galway hype!) and the confidence of their fans is off the charts. Looking forward to a great double header this Sat

A poor year all round. Hopefully the minors and u20s can do the business in the coming weeks, would be a much needed lift for the county

Replying To oakleafersir:  "Home again against Wexford but I think we should still go full pelt in this one but give a few players a chance to get themselves up and going for the final; I'd rotate a few players to see them in different roles and positions. The team I would start is: T.Mallon SF.Quinn B.Rodgers N.Kennan P.Coney J.Rocks C.McFaul E.Bradley P.Cassidy R.Bell S.McGuigan E.Lynn N.Toner B.McCarron C.Bradley"
McCarron is with the u20s.

Neil McGee sending off - 1 Like(s)

Replying To killer7:  "There is a lot of comment bout Neil McGee's tackle on here, simple thing is if had been on Donnelly or Jones, or anyone taller, it wouldn't have stirred them, simple, small man ran into big man, who had possession of the ball and was trying to get out of a cluster of players. No mention of Cassidy's strike on the other McGee, but that's right. He didn't go down and act like he had been hit been an asteroid. mans game lads"
What an absolute load of nonsense re the forearm smash. Whether a man is 5.8 or 6.8, there's very little difference in the make up of his jaw and teeth you binlid. ' Man's game lad'...sweet jesus!
