WELL,THEOFFICIATING AT THE TIPP WATERFORD GAME WAS AN ABSOUTE DISGRACE !!!!MCGRATH and his crew should never be allowed to officiate another game.as a supporter of the banner county 1could only feel sorrow for the Waterford supporters. The mistakes were myriad. when the goal that as not a goal happened, the umpire closest to it did nothing the one on the other side waved the green flag.Every one watching saw it was not a score but the referee did nothing.Shortly after he overruled umpires decision and gave a doubtful point to TIPP. I have seen better officiating at a minor parish game.IT wasjust a deplorable standard of officiating< especially referee an umpires

My apologies for giving the wrong name of the referee for the TIPP -WATERFORD match.the referee who made such a mess of things was KELLY from GALEAY

I hope Clare will throw everything at Tipp this weekend for the first time since 1997. Yere current tactic of standing off and admiring them hasn't served the Clare hurlers well. Get stuck in and get ball into Conlon and O Donnell. That Tipp full back line wouldn't run to warm themselves and the half backline is as bad. If Clare turn up on a mission, cut down the wides and give the right pass to the right man at the right time...then Tipp won't live with ye. However a caveat..Tipp will start like a train..It's their only hope. They'll aim to gain a lead and let their hurling intelligence keep Clare out.

only small stand and thats for 'certain' people....im a season ticket holder but im in terrace. 3 sides of ground all terrace, far side from main stand is covered, behind goal is not. Once you are in, you can walk around the 3, they all linked.

Its a small old style ground, but cracking atmosphere if the game is good. I just hope Clare are still alive by the time it starts!

if we lose and limerick win, we still could sneak through if we beat limerick and hope points difference goes out way in a 3 way tie with limerick and tipp but in reality we need to beat tipp!

if limerick win on sunday it puts us on 5 and tipp beat clare the most tipp and clare can end up with is 4

you are correct, we would need waterford to beat cork but they would have nothing to play for if they lose to limerick

its been very tight so far! I like the new format but munster teams will be wrecked come business end, whilst galway, KK and even wexford will have had less intense battles.

Iwas happy to see that many fans including a well known Tipperary mentor expressed the view that Alan KELLY should be dropped from the referee panel for all future games. It was aa painful epectacle to witness. AS A clare supporter Ifelt sorry for theWaterford fans who travelled to LIMERICK AND HAD TO WITNESS this travest y of justice.Personally 1 was FLABERGASTED, Enough is enough.WHY IS THERE NOT SOME SYSTEM IN PLACE WHER OBVIOUS INJUSTICES LIKE THIS can be reviwed and corrected. Giving the ref.a police escort for his safety is not a solution!!!!!!

yes clareman if limerick win sunday and tipp beat clare ye are out as tipp will have 4 points and even if ye beat us clare have ye on the head to head so its a must win game for clare if we beat waterford...

Clutching at straws from a Clare respect. But if Clare lose Sunday and Limerick win, technically Clare can still go through if they beat limerick the following week and waterford beat cork. Very unlikely with waterford nothing to play for. In that scenario....cork, clare, tipp all on 4 points....with only 2 advancing as limerick on top.....and tipp would likely lose out on score difference. The only definites for this sunday are waterford could be out and also tipp could be out. Limerick and Clare mathematically alive if they lose this weekend - in particular limerick. So if tipp and waterford both lose this weekend; the 3 from munster for the all ireland are known.

I second that wholeheartedly. It was absolutely outrageous that the second umpire , the one nearest Austin Gleeson, when he caught the ball, was not consulted.

The fact is that this team are there for the taking so lets forget about this that and the other and concentrate on beating Tipp.

Tipps defenders are at 6s and 7s and are too slow. Our forwards can do serious damage. Conlon should do a number on Kennedy and O Donnell will be licking his lips at the prospect of playing against that Tipp full back line.

This game from a Clare perspective depends on our defenders as Tipp are very strong in attack. We cannot let John McGrath get the usual 5 points from play he seems to always get against Clare. We cannot let Noel McGrath kill us as he always seems to. If we can negate both these players, I believe we will win as Bonner and Callinan dont appear to be 100%.

Tough ask to beat Tipp in Thurles but if there was ever a chance then this is it.
