If that's the case the whole thing will definitely be held up now as Castlerahan will go to the Ulster Council. I think it was fairly obvious the county board were always going to turn it down. BootIt (Cavan) - Posts: 136 - 12/09/2014 11:37:16 1651276 Link 0 |
All depends on what time the ref had in report that the lights went out..thats all that matters.doesn't matter what the clock says.refs report is final therefore they wouldn't have a case in going to ulster either. gaelsutd (Cavan) - Posts: 602 - 12/09/2014 11:57:47 1651282 Link 0 |
No point going to the Ulster council if they have no case. Referee has said the correct time was played. The video was looked at and verified that the correct time was played. If they still go ahead to the Ulster council a meeting will be held tomorrow and its very likely the same outcome will happen. At the end of the day it's what is on the referees watch what matters. The video has proved that his watch was correct then case closed frankmatthews (Cavan) - Posts: 8 - 12/09/2014 12:03:06 1651284 Link 0 |
Match was recorded so refs report in this instance is not final. And the decision has not being made yet. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 12/09/2014 12:06:15 1651285 Link 0 |
Decision made lastnite at 9.45pm.Appeal failed.Ballinagh play Mullahoran at 7.30pm Sunday evening.Important to note that castlerahan missed a penalty after lights came back on so they should have nothing to complain about.at least they have the breffni league.more than a lot of clubs. gaelsutd (Cavan) - Posts: 602 - 12/09/2014 12:24:33 1651291 Link 0 |
The only time and watch that matters is the ref's. Scoreboard clock or anyone's else watch is irrelevant. End of storey. evano11 (Cavan) - Posts: 265 - 12/09/2014 12:31:51 1651292 Link 0 |
Everyone that was in Breffni park that night knows too well that the correct time was not played and the penalty was in normal time long before the lights went out BootIt (Cavan) - Posts: 136 - 12/09/2014 12:53:58 1651306 Link 0 |
Castlerahan are embarassing themselves now. They had a few goal chances, including the penalty, and a free to level it at the end of extra time but they bottled it. breffni23 (Cavan) - Posts: 15 - 12/09/2014 12:54:19 1651307 Link 0 |
People saying that referee report is final are wrong. Red cards are rescinded based on video evidence. At a level where there is no video a third person eye witness can be used as evidence. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 12/09/2014 13:13:04 1651312 Link 0 |

At intercounty grounds it's in the rule it has to have a clock. Breffni's showed not enough time played either. Any part of a referee's report can be questioned if there is contrary evidence. Once he shown not to follow the rules outlined in the official guidelines of the games. Same for county board. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 12/09/2014 13:58:09 1651326 Link 0 |

It'd be slightly different if there was a time dispute at the end of the game, but both teams lined up for the 2nd half of extra time knowing exactly what the score was (Castlerahan ahead by one) and that there was 10 minutes plus injury time left, which was played. breffni23 (Cavan) - Posts: 15 - 12/09/2014 16:49:00 1651406 Link 0 |

Breffni81 all matches are not on Mullahorn V Ballinagh is not being played so looks like the senior championship will be delayed indefinitely assuming that Castlerahan intend to go to Ulster and if no joy to Croke Park despite them loosing 3 matches. Killeshaandra must feel hard done by seeing what is going on. mowbar (Cavan) - Posts: 452 - 13/09/2014 12:18:14 1651563 Link 0 |
Have Lacken missed their chance to bet them? I would say so IamADragon (Cavan) - Posts: 303 - 13/09/2014 12:21:35 1651565 Link 0 |
Castlerahan go to Ulster this afternoon.they will be told there and then what the outcome is.Ballinagh v Mullahoran will be played next weekend as part of a double header with the Gaels & Lacken.Castlerahan won't win their appeal.they are wasting time and money going to Ulster.take it on the chin and concentrate on next year. gaelsutd (Cavan) - Posts: 602 - 13/09/2014 12:45:11 1651570 Link 0 |
Why Killeshandra feel hard done by. And before talk of Ulster let the county board make their decision. People saying the appeal was thrown out is false. Appeal only heard last night and no decision yet. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 13/09/2014 12:48:11 1651571 Link 0 |
