Replying To cavangirl87:  "And this morning I got section F on the Pat McGrane. Not the worst location but like you said I would have expected Gerry Arthur for season ticket holders.

Seems like there is no reward for following your county through the depths of winter."
It's never been Gerry Arthurs for ST holders for the final.

Same. Disgraceful behaviour from the GAA. 100% attendance this year here, and that includes McKenna cup. My Mother who is in her 70s has one too, we'll be sitting together, and now she'll out in the open, not the covered stand which she likes. I have other family coming and have booked tickets through the club for them in the covered stand as thought we'd be in the same area, as we should have been. Why do they treat loyalty like this? Typical GAA, get your money at the start of the year, and then once you're in they treat you like dirt. They automatically charge too for the tickets after the first championship match so there is nothing you can do about it. Holders should be accommodated in the covered stand, period, but oh no, they'll charge the full amount to any others willing to pay

Don't see why it couldn't be. And there was no word from GAA that this nwas teh case, I'd have taken action to procure otehr tickets if that was the case. No reward for the supporters who have followed all year around. With tickets set for player family's, VIPs and such, it should be easy to accommodate season ticket holders in the covered stand as you know your exact numbers from far out.

Replying To Donegalman:  "Interesting to read comments this morning giving the Cavan perspective. An upset is possible there is no doubt about that. This Cavan team have beaten the Donegal lads more than once at under age. I am not sure the ref Conor lane will be much of a factor 2bh as we are very disciplined in the tackle this year more than under Gallagher. It could be a shoot out it will be an interesting final if it goes that way. I think there is nothing in the bank for Donegal in this fixture. I believe we can win it, lots will depend on our 2nd half performance. Best of luck and enjoy the final, I hope it will be a sell out attendance"
Donegal are definitely ahead of us in their development at the moment. We are in bonus territory under Mickey in his first year even though some of our players are around last 6/7 years.
If we can improve another 20% from the 2 Armagh games then it could be interesting.
I just hope we don't go back into our defensive shell like previous years.
If we go down fair enough but at least go down having a proper go at it.
Best of luck to team , extended panel and management.

Season tickets have always been in pat mc grane for ulster finals. And in fairness we have always been in good seats. I think all season tickets will be around the center. I think donegal have about 800? Season tickets don't know what Cavan have. The only other ground that I have not been in the covered stand is breffni Park, don't know why that is.

Can't you sit wherever you want in the pat mcgrane stand? Whoever is there first will get the best seats.

Nope assigned seating. You have to sit where assigned. If I recall from other big games there, stewards will be sticking hard to this on Sunday

No you can't. Only after getting my ticket. The ticket is numbered. Most of the season tickets will be in section f which is fairly central. All we want now is the weather.

Hi breffblue101: Same here in Donegal, its going to be a long week waiting for Sunday to come. It's a sell out so will be a great occasion, Fermanagh and Donegal both brought great colour and noise last year and Carnival Clones was buzzing from early morning. Hopefully the weather obliges. An exciting attacking game awaits. Good luck to all and may the best team win.

Yeah, I think E and F are either side of halfway, so G will be next one over

The ticket scenario is funny , people giving out about not getting good tickets , And 90% of them wouldn't have been at a Cavan game in years , I think something needs to be done for season ticket holders, they should be guaranteed a stand ticket and not be automatically charged for a game after first round if something happens and they can't attend .

Called into Breffni to get tickets last Wednesday was told the club Breffni stand tickets not available until Monday. Got someone to call today and told can't get them until Wednesday afternoon. Not impressed.

Exactly, there were a lot of small crowds at our league games and now every Tom, Dick and Harry is moaning about tickets.

It's actually season ticket holders that have been to every match all year (and probably all down through the years) that are discussing the poor allocation given to us for Sunday.

I'm a season ticket holder and I was able to buy better tickets on the Gerry Arthur stand when they went on gaa.ie last Tuesday than those allocated to me. I'm delighted to have tickets for everyone that wants to go but treatment of season ticket holders and Club Breffni too by the looks of it, is far from good enough.

It's the same if you get to croke park. You're shunted over to the cusack and normally pretty poor blocks. Such is life.

I'd have little sympathy for Club Breffni to be honest. They are the ones preventing the Club Plus package that just about every other county has in place i.e. a ticket that includes all club games as well as county and would be of serious value to myself personally and many other ST holders I know of................

As regards the game itself. I am looking at this dispassionately and as objectively as I possibly can under the circumstances. My prediction is that Donegal will win by about 5 points. In truth we have never been able to contain Michael Murphy and he has destroyed us around the middle of the park, mopping up everything and setting up and taking scores. We still dont have anyone in our ranks that can curb his influence. McBrearty has been quiet by his own very high standards this year (which is not surprising I suppose , given that he has only returned from serious injury). But let's be honest, Jamie Brennan has taken over as scorer in chief. Have we got the personnel to deal with these three ? I doubt it. Our long kickouts were a major worry last day out when Armagh pushed up on us, We won very few. I am not sure if this was down to the lack of mobility of our midfield sector or Galligan's placement of the kicks(I do recall one kickout which seemed to target 3 Armagh players v 1 Cavan man. In our favour We didn't panic (apart from once) and worked the ball well out of defence and our handpassing was sharp as was our movement up the field to support colleagues. Our point-taking was as good as I have seen it . This leaves me worried that everything went right for us against Armagh and we will have used up all our luck by the time we take the field in the final. However said that alot of our players should be near their peak now, having played at this level for 4,5,6 years . Players like Killian Clarke, Conor Moynagh, Ray Galligan, Jason Mcloughlin, Gearoid, Niall Murray, Faulkner, McVeety, ( the spine of our team) are much more experienced and confident than in previous years. Add to that the likes of Mackey and Stephen Murray coming off the bench plus the returning Ciaran Brady and there is a backbone of genuine quality. Do we have a squad that can match Donegal's for experience, strength, power and quality ? . So, On paper it's a 5 point win for Donegal but as we know games are not played on paper and on the day unexpected things can happen.
