Pat McGinnell of Banaho was born in 1920, the third oldest of 14 children. He worked the land all his life and was also a stalwart of Denn GFC, serving the club as both treasurer and president. He was honorary president at the time of his death. He rarely missed a club game and was never shy in forwarding his opinion on how the team could be improved.
